Subject: Benjamin Grayson & Stacy Elzey

Several years ago my husband made a trip to N. VA to search for some Grayson information and found the following links:

1 Benjamin Grayson b. 1731, Spotsylvania, VA married Stacy Elzey b. 1736 ,Prince William, VA.

2 Benjamin Grayson b. 1753 Louden, VA d. 1807, Rowan,TN

3 Nancy

3 Stacy Grayson

3 Jessee Grayson

3 John Grayson

3 William Grayson

3 Wren Grayson, Sr.

Md. Rebecca Owens

3 Joseph Grayson

Of course my records continue with the line to Emaline who married Thomas Lanty (or Lanty Thomas) Armstrong, my direct line. I am a little confused by the Madison Courier, IN 6/3/1865 obit. pg. 4, which reads "abt 1805 when Wren was 23, he married Rebecca (Betsy) Owens. Born in 1780 Rebecca (Betsy) died in 1865. Rebecca (Betsy) died on 9 Nov 1852; she was 72." Can you explain the two death dates and ages of Rebecca (Betsy)? There must be something I am not getting.

I am especially interested in the Armstrong connections. I have tried to trace that line back from my father, since my brother and I, his daughters, some A* cousins, and other blood relatives seem to have inherited some difficult medical problems.

If you have not already done so, I would suggest you try the Elzey line for more information on the way-back Virginia connection.

Thanks and best regards, Shari
